How to choose
Three things to think about before you upgrade your memory or storage.
Match your platform
DDR5 requires an AM5 or LGA 1700/1851 motherboard. If you're on AM4 or an older Intel platform, stick with DDR4. For SSDs, make sure your board has an M.2 slot that supports PCIe 5.0 if you're buying a Gen5 drive.
Pick the right speed
For DDR5, 6000 MT/s CL30 is the sweet spot for most builds. For DDR4, 3200–3600 MT/s delivers the best value. For SSDs, Gen4 is fast enough for gaming — Gen5 only matters for professional workloads.
Plan your capacity
32GB of RAM is the modern standard for gaming; 64GB helps with video editing and 3D rendering. For storage, 1TB is a minimum for a gaming PC, 2TB is comfortable, and 4TB gives you headroom for years. Our team can help — just reach out.
